St. Vartan Park visitors can borrow and donate books at the park's Little Free Library, located inside the northeast entrance of the park.

The kiosk was funded in part through a bake sale led by parents and children of local elementary schools P.S. 281 (The River School) and P.S. 116 (Mary Lindley Murray).

In the fall of 2022, two organizations — the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association and Trusted Media Brands publishing group Reader’s Digest — each donated many boxes of family-friendly books to St. Vartan Park Conservancy. The Conservancy has used the generous offerings for continued replenishment of the Little Free Library.
